Use this as a first-pass review before asking for quotes, scheduling installer visits, or deciding whether a larger remodel is needed.

Install properly anchored grab bars near the shower, tub, and toilet.Improve lighting at night paths, vanity areas, and shower entrances.Use non-slip flooring or mats that do not curl, slide, or bunch.Reduce high step-over tub entries when mobility is changing.Keep towels, soap, shampoo, and daily items within easy reach.Check toilet height and nearby support for sitting and standing.Remove loose rugs and cords from bathroom approaches.Ask installers how bars will be anchored before approving work.
